- A storm system will progress through the Eastern two-thirds of the U.S. on Wednesday with the threat for severe thunderstorms and heavy rain in the Mid-South and Tennessee Valley.
- Western U.S. remains unsettled with heavy snow from the Sierra into the Intermountain West.
- Heavy rain and flooding possible in southern California.
- Arctic air remains entrenched over the Northern Plains.

— South-central and southeast WA and adjacent north-central OR; northern ID and adjacent far-western MT; southwest ID; eastern OR: Winter Weather Advisories today. Generally 2-4 inches accumulation. I-84, I-90 impacted.
— Southwest OR, northwest and northern CA: Winter Weather Advisories this morning. An additional 1-3 inches expected. I-5, US-101 impacted.
— Eastern OR, southwest ID: Winter Weather Advisories tonight and Wednesday: Snow accumulations generally 1-3 inches, higher amounts in the mountains. I-84 impacted.
— CA northern and central Sierra Nevada: Winter Storm Warnings through this evening. In general, 6-9 additional inches snow expected. I-80, US-50 impacted.
— CA southern Sierra Nevada: Winter Weather Advisories through this morning. Total snow accumulations 4-8 inches between 3000 and 6000 feet.
— Southern CA Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles County Mountains: Winter Storm Warnings through Thursday evening. Snow accumulations 1-2 feet above 5000 ft and winds gusting to 40 mph. I-5 (Grapevine) impacted.
— Southern CA west of the deserts: Flood Watch through Thursday evening. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15 potentially impacted.
— CA Eastern Sierra Nevada, southwest NV: Winter Weather Advisories through Thursday afternoon above 4500 feet. Up to 8 inches snow expected. US-395 impacted.
— Southeast NV, northwest AZ: Winter Storm Warnings through Friday afternoon. Snow accumulations 1-2 feet in the mountains. I-15 impacted.
