  • On Wednesday through Friday morning, this system will evolve into a large, strong storm with heavy snow, a wintry mix, heavy rain with possible flooding and severe thunderstorms for the Central, Southern and Eastern U.S.

— Northern and Central CA Central Valleys: Wind Advisory today. Gusts to 40 mph. I-5, CA-99 impacted.

— CA Central and Southern Sierra range: High Wind Warning this afternoon and tonight. Gusts to 60 mph.

— Central and southern NV; eastern and southeast CA deserts; northern and eastern AZ: Wind Advisories today and tonight. Gusts generally 45-55 mph. Blowing sand and dust will reduce visibility on highways. I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40, CA-58 impacted.

— Southern CA Riverside and San Diego County mountains: High Wind Warnings today and tonight. Gusts to 60-70 mph. I-8, I-10 impacted.

— Southern CA Ventura and Los Angeles County mountains: Winter Weather Advisories through this evening above 5000 feet. Snow accumulations generally 2-5 inches.

— Central and east-central ID; southwest and central MT: Winter Weather Advisories tonight through midday today. Accumulations generally 2-4 inches. I-15, I-90 impacted.

— Northeast NV: Winter Weather Advisories above 6000 feet today. Snow accumulations 2-5 inches.

— Portions of north-central, central and southeast WY: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon through Wednesday. Accumulations ranging from 4-8 inches in the north, 3-6 inches in the southeast and 2-4 inches in the central part of the state. I-25, I-80 impacted.

— Southeast NM and far-west TX: High Wind Watch for Wednesday. Gusts to 60 mph. I-10, I-20 and the I-10/I-20 split potentially impacted.

— Western OK east of the Panhandle and west of I-35: Wind Advisory today. Gusts to 45 mph. I-40 impacted.

— Northern TX; central and eastern OK; eastern KS; MO; eastern IA; IL; IN; western OH; MI: Strong winds push northeastward through the central U.S. Wednesday. Gusts 35-50 mph. Multiple Wind Advisories possible. Many major highways impacted including I-20, I-40, I-70, I-80, I-90, I-94, I-35, I-55, I-65, I-75.

— Northeast TX, central and eastern OK, western AR: Severe thunderstorms possible Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. I-20, I-30, I-35, I-40, I-44 potentially impacted.

— AR; northern and eastern LA; MS; western TN; western AL: Severe thunderstorms possible Thursday. I-20, I-30, I-40, I-49, I-55, I-59 potentially impacted.

— East-central IL; most of IN; southwest MI; northwest OH: Flood Watches Wednesday evening through Thursday evening. A combination of heavy rain, frozen ground, melting snow and ice jams may produce stream and river flooding. I-57, I-65, I-69, I-70, I-74, I-80 / IN Toll Road potentially impacted.

— Western NY downwind Lake Ontario and north of I-90: Winter Weather Advisory through early this afternoon. Total lake effect snow accumulations 4-7 inches. I-81 impacted.

— Northeastern NY and adjacent northwest VT: Wind Advisories Wednesday and Wednesday evening. Gusts 45-55 mph. I-87, I-89 impacted.
