- A strong storm will continue to impact the West today before moving from the southern Rockies across the Plains to the upper Midwest on Wednesday.
- Excessive rainfall Tuesday in southern California my lead to flash flooding and debris flows.
- On Wednesday, high winds will spread from the Southwest into the Great Lakes.
- Next storm impacts Northern California and the Pacific Northwest starting early Wednesday with another round of high winds, and heavy rain and snow.

— Northern CA: Winter Storm Watch late tonight through late Wednesday night. Snow levels 1500 feet. Accumulations will range from 2 – 22 inches. I-5, US-101 impacted.
— Northwest CA: Wind Advisory Wednesday morning and afternoon: Gusts to 55 mph. CA-1, US-101, I-5 impacted.
— Northern CA, CA Sierra Nevada Range: Winter Storm Warnings continue through this evening. Total snow accumulations of 2-4 feet and 4-8 feet above 7000 feet. Wind gusts of 40-50 mph possible in lower elevations and up to 100 mph along the ridge lines. I-5, I-80, US-50 highly impacted and may be closed periodically and/or implement chain restrictions. — Coastal CA, San Luis Obispo County Valleys and Santa Barbara mountains: High Wind Warning until noon. Gusts to 65 mph. US-101 impacted.
— Coastal Southern CA: Flash Flood Watches and Flood Advisories through this afternoon. US-101, I-5, I-10, I-15, I-8 potentially impacted.
— Southern CA, southern NV: High Wind Warnings and Advisories through tonight. Winds gusting 45-60 mph in the valleys and 50-70 mph through the mountains. I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40, US-395, CA-58 impacted.
— Southern CA Mountains: Winter Storm Warnings tonight through tonight: 4-12 inches snow above 5000 feet. I-5, I-10, I-15 impacted.
— ID north of I-84; most of NV; western, central and southern MT; western WY; northeast, central and southwest UT : Winter Storm Warnings (ID, UT) and Advisories through Wednesday morning. Accumulations will range from a few inches over the MT High Plains to several feet in the UT and ID mountains. Expect wind gusts to 50 mph. Major highways impacted include I-15, I-80, I-90, I-94, US-50.
— Southern ID Twin Falls vicinity: Wind Advisory through midday. Gusts. 50-60 mph. I-84 impacted.
— Western UT: High Wind Warning through this evening. Gusts to 60 mph. I-15, I-80 impacted.
— Higher elevations of central, eastern and northeastern AZ: Winter Storm Warning tonight above 6500 feet. 3-8 inches of snow and winds gusting to 65 mph. I-40 impacted.
— Virtually all of AZ, southeast UT, western NM: High Wind Warnings and Advisories this afternoon through Wednesday midday. Gusts 45-60 mph. Blowing dust in the desert will be an issue. I-8, I-10, I-17, I-40 impacted.
What to do if you are caught in a dust storm on the Highway: Be ready for a sudden drop in visibility. If you encounter blowing dust or blowing sand on the roadway or see it approaching: Pull off the road as far as possible and put your vehicle in park. Turn the lights all the way OFF. Keep your foot OFF the brake pedal. Pull aside, stay alive.
— Much of central and southeast WY: High Wind Warnings through Wednesday morning. Gusts to 70 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.
— Western CO above 8500 feet: Winter Storm Warnings (San Juan Mountains) and advisories tonight and Wednesday: 5-16 niches snow and wind gusts to 70 mph. I-70 impacted.
— North-central and northeast SD: Winter Weather Advisory Wednesday midday through Wednesday night. Rain will change to snow, combined with gusts to 60 mph. Significant road icing expected. I-90 impacted.
— CO east of the Front Range; central and northeast NM; TX and OK Panhandles; KS; NE; SD; IA; northwest MO; southern MN, western WI, northwest IL: High Wind Warnings and Advisories Wednesday. Very high winds spread across the central US from west to east. Widespread wind gusts of 55-70 mph. I-25, I-29, I-35, I-40, I-70, I-80, I-90, I-94 will all be impacted.
— TX Gulf Coast, southern TX northwards to Austin: Dense Fog Advisories this morning. I-10, I-35, I-45 impacted.
