- Low pressure developing over the Southern Plains may bring areas of flooding from northeast Texas into Ohio Friday and Saturday, as well as snow, sleet and freezing rain for Upstate New York and New England this weekend.

— Northern CA and CA Sierra Nevada Range: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through midday today above 2000 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 2-6 inches likely with more at highest elevations. I-5, I-80, US-50 impacted.
— Coastal southern CA Santa Clarita Mountains and Valley: Wind Advisory late tonight through Saturday afternoon. Gusts to 45 mph. I-5 impacted.
— North-central, central and northwest MT; northern and central ID south of I-90: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon through Friday morning. 2-4 inches snow in the valleys and up to 10 inches in high terrain. I-15, I-90 impacted.
— Northern NV, adjacent northeast CA: Winter Weather Advisories through late this morning. Total snow accumulation of 2-6 inches likely. I-80 impacted.
— Eastern ID, western WY, northeast UT: Winter Weather Advisories through Friday morning. Snow accumulations will range from 2-4 inches in low elevation valleys, 4-8 inches at higher elevations such as Grand Teton and Yellowstone, and 6-16 inches in the mountains. I-15, I-80 impacted.
— South-central WY and adjacent CO (Elkhead and Park Mountains): Winter Weather Advisory this afternoon through Friday morning. 3-8 inches snow expected with gusts to 35 mph.
— Western SD, central and eastern NE: Strong winds Friday afternoon and evening. Gusts 30-45 mph. I-29, I-80, I-90 impacted. No advisories at this time.
— North-central and northeast MN including the Arrowhead: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through midday today. Another 1-2 inches snow possible. Winds gusting to 35 mph. I-35, I-94 impacted.
— Central and eastern MN, northern and eastern WI, northwest IL, northern IN, MI, northern OH, western NY: High Wind Warnings (WI, northern MI) and advisories through tonight. Winds will taper off from west to east over the region starting late this morning. Wind gusts 55-70 mph over WI and northern MI and up to 50 mph over the rest of the region. Major highways impacted include I-35, I-75, I-80, I-90 and all the highways in the greater Chicago area.
