  • Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible over east Texas, the mid-South, and the lower Ohio River Valley late this evening and tonight.
  • Extensive fog once again through late this morning over the Gulf Coast and Southeast.

Here’s the long-range travel & RV weather outlook (last updated Wednesday 1 December)

— Interior central CA: Dense Fog Advisory through late this morning for the Delta, the Sacramento Valley and much of the San Joaquin Valley. I-5, I-80, CA-99 impacted.

— Santa Barbara County CA: Wind Advisory through midmorning for much of the country. Gusts to 45 mph. US-101 impacted.

— Southern CA from Los Angeles to San Diego: Dense Fog Advisories through midmorning. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15 impacted.

— Southeast ID: Wind Advisory through mid-afternoon. Gusts to 55 mph. I-84 impacted.

— Portions of central and south-central MT and adjacent WY: Winter Weather Advisories through this afternoon above 4000 feet. 1-3 inches additional accumulation expected. I-25 impacted in Sheridan Foothills, Bighorn Canyon; I-90 impacted in Beartooth Foothills.

— Portions of southwest, north-central, south-central and eastern WY: High Wind Warnings through this afternoon. Gusts 60-65 mph. I-25, I-80 impacted.

— North-central CO along the Rocky Mountain Front Range: High Wind Warning through midday. Gusts to 85 mph. I-25 is just east of the warning area; I-70 west of Denver will be highly impacted.

— Central NM Central Highlands: Wind Advisory this afternoon. Gusts to 45 mph. I-40 east of Albuquerque impacted.

— Most of ND except the southwest portion of the state; northern MN; northern WI, MI Upper Peninsula and northern Lower Peninsula: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through tonight. Warnings end from west to east. Total snowfall accumulations from 3-8 inches over northwest ND and MI, to 10-15 inches over the MN Arrowhead. Winds will gust 30-45 mph over much of this region. I-29, I-35, I-75, I-94 impacted.

— Southwest ND; SD; northeast NE; central and southern MN; central and northern IA; western WI: High Wind Warnings (Dakotas) and Advisories through Monday morning. Gusts 45-60 mph. Strongest winds over the western Dakotas. Winds will diminish from west to east. I-29, I-35, I-90, I-94 impacted. I-80 is just south of the warned area.

— Southeast and southern ND; western and central SD: High Wind Watches Sunday. Gusts to 60 mph. I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Southeast OK, west-central and central AR: Dense Fog Advisories through mid-morning. I-40, I-44 impacted.

— AR, western TN, western KY, northwest MS: Scattered strong or severe thunderstorms late this evening and overnight. Major highways potentially impacted include I-30, I-40, I-55.

— Coastal TX; southern, central and eastern LA; central AR; MS; most of AL; southern and central GA; central and northern FL including the Panhandle; central and southeast SC: Dense Fog Advisories through late this morning. Major highways impacted include I-4, I-10, I-12, I-20, I-30, I-35, I-40, I-45, I-49, I-55, I-59, I-65, I-75, I-95.

— OH along the Lake Erie shoreline; extreme northwest PA; western and northern NY; northern VT: High Wind Warnings and Advisories tonight through Monday night. Gusts 50-60 mph. I-79, I-80/90 (OH), I-81, I-87, I-89, I-90 / NY Thruway, I-91 impacted.

— Far-northern ME: Winter Weather Advisory Sunday night through Monday afternoon. 3-5 inches snow expected.
