  • High winds decrease this afternoon over southern California.
  • Light snow is expected through Monday evening from the Northern Plains and Great Lakes, into the Northeast. Snow is associated with two separate clipper systems.
  • A storm is forecast to develop across eastern Texas Monday afternoon, then head to Florida on Tuesday. This system will bring gusty winds, heavy rain, and thunderstorms to the Gulf Coast early this week.

Here’s the long-range travel & RV weather outlook (to be updated this afternoon)

—Western WA and OR; south-central OR; eastern WA: Dense Fog, Freezing Fog and Air Stagnation Advisories through early afternoon. I-5, I-84, I-90 impacted.

— Southern CA over the Greater Los Angeles area, including Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties: Wind Advisories through this afternoon. Gusts to 45 mph. I-5, I-10, I-15 impacted.

— Southeast ID, north and west of I-84 and I-15: Freezing Fog Advisory through late this morning.

— Southeast WY: High Wind Warnings this afternoon though early Monday morning. Gusts to 65 mph. I-25 I-80 impacted.

— Southwest ND; northwest and west-central SD: Wind Advisories late this morning through this afternoon. Gusts to 50 mph. Advisories bounded by I-94 to the north and I-90 to the south.

— MI northeast Upper Peninsula: Winter Weather Advisory today for lake effect snow. 1-7 inches accumulation possible. I-75 impacted.

— Northern and east-central IN; extreme southwest MI; most of OH except southwest portion of state: Winter Weather Advisories today. Accumulations 2-6 inches with the highest amounts over northern OH. Major highways impacted include I-65, I-69, I-70, I-71, I-75, I-76, I-77, I-89/90 including the Ohio Turnpike and Indiana Toll Road.

— Northwest WV; extreme western MD; western PA: Winter Weather Advisories this evening and tonight. Accumulations generally 2-4 inches. Highways impacted include I-68, I-70, I-76 and the PA Turnpike, I-79, I-80.

— Western NY downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario: Winter Weather Advisories for Lake Effect snow through this afternoon. Additional accumulations generally 2-4 inches downwind of Lake Erie and 4-8 inches downwind of Lake Ontario. I-79, I-81, I-90 / NY Thruway impacted.
