- A Canadian cold front will bring snow and gusty winds to the Upper Midwest, followed by a surge of Arctic air.
- Strong winds this afternoon over Kentucky, West Virginia and eastern Ohio.
- A mild air mass combined with offshore flow will continue to produce unseasonably warm temperatures in California, especially southern California.

— Southern CA Coastal areas: Heat Advisory through Sunday evening. High temperatures mid to upper 80’s.
— Southeast ID: Dense Fog Advisory through late this morning. I-15, I-84, I-86 impacted.
— Portions of central MT; southeast MT and northwest WY; portions of central WY: Winter Weather Advisories through this evening. Accumulations generally 2-4 inches. I-90 impacted.
— East-central CO along and just east of the foothills from Boulder to the NM state line, including the Denver metro area: Winter Weather Advisories this afternoon and tonight. Accumulations generally 2-5 inches. I-25, I-70 impacted.
— Southern ND, SD and adjacent southwest MN: Wind Advisories continue through midmorning. Gusts to 45 mph. I-29, I-90 impacted.
— Western NE: High Wind Watch through this evening. Gusts to 50 mph possible. I-80 potentially impacted.
— Far-eastern ND and adjacent northwest MN: Blizzard Warnings through midday. While additional snow accumulations will only be an inch or so, wind gusts to 50 mph will create whiteout conditions, especially in open country. I-29, I-94 impacted.
— MN Arrowhead and northern WI: Winter Weather Advisories today. About an inch additional accumulation, accompanied by wind gusts to 45 mph. I-35, US-2, US-53 impacted.
— MI Upper Peninsula: Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories through Saturday morning. Up to 3-7 inches lake effect snow with wind gusts to 45 mph along Lake Superior. US-2, US-41 impacted.
— Central KY: Wind Advisory this afternoon and evening. Gusts 40-45 mph. I-64, I-65, I-75 impacted.
— Eastern OH, WV: Strong winds gusting 30-40 mph this afternoon. Advisories not likely. I-64, I-70, I-71, I-76, I-77, I-79 impacted.
