These are the most significant weather impacts to RV travel over the next two to three days. I do not list every area of rain, showers, or breezy winds. Please check out the animations and graphics for a good depiction of the weather along your route.

I have changed out smoke forecasting models to one that captures these Canadian fires – so you can now see the latest 2-day smoke forecast for your area in the graphics section.

Pacific:

Northeast WA; northern and western ID; extreme northwest MT; eastern OR: Severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. Large hail and isolated damaging wind gusts are the primary threats. I-84, I-90 potentially impacted.

— Central WA; northern OR along the Columbia Gorge: Strong winds late this evening and tonight. Wind gusts 30-40 mph. I-84, I-90 impacted.

— Portions of east-central CA and western NV, including the Tahoe and Mono County areas: Flood watches for snowmelt. I-80, US-50 potentially impacted.

Mountain:

Northeast WA; northern and western ID; extreme northwest MT; eastern OR: Severe thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening. Large hail and isolated damaging wind gusts are the primary threats. I-84, I-90 potentially impacted.

— North-central MT: Dense Smoke Advisory: Visibility reduced to 1-3 miles in dense wildfire smoke. This smoke is from the Alberta (Canadian) wildfires. See graphics below for expected smoke concentrations across the Continental U.S.

North-central and central MT: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat. I-15, I-90 potentially impacted.

— Much of north-central and southeast MT; northeast WY: Heavy wildfire smoke this afternoon and evening. I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Eastern MT; western ND; northeast WY; western SD: Moderate wildfire smoke Monday. I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Portions of southeast ID: Flood Advisories due to rain and snowmelt. I-15 potentially impacted.

— North-central NM: Flood Watches through this evening for excessive rainfall on burn scars. This area is west of I-25.

East-central and northeast NM; southeast CO: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat. I-40 potentially impacted.

Central:

Southwest KS; OK and TX Panhandles and western OK: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat, although a tornado or two is possible across the eastern OK and TX Panhandles. I-27, I-40 potentially impacted.

— TX Panhandle; southwest OK; north-central TX: Isolated severe thunderstorms possible on Tuesday. I-20, I-27, I-35, I-40 potentially impacted.

Southern AL: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat. I-65 potentially impacted.

— Portion of northwest MS: Flash Flood Watch through mid-June for potential failure of Arkabutla Dam on the Coldwater River. I-55 potentially impacted.

Eastern:

— Southeast KY: Dense Fog Advisory this morning. I-75 impacted.

Southern GA; northern and central FL: Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Monday. Damaging wind gusts are the primary threat. I-4, I-10, I-75, I-95 potentially impacted.

— Southern GA and northern FL: Slight risk for flash flooding from excessive rainfall Tuesday and Tuesday night. 1-4 inches of rainfall possible in areas that see repeated thunderstorms. I-10, I-75, I-95 potentially impacted.
