- Stormy weekend conditions for the Carolinas – especially on and near the coasts. Although not classified as a tropical storm – it will feel like one.
- Greatest risk of severe thunderstorms today will be along the New Mexico – Texas border; severe thunderstorms may occur over the High Plains from Canada to Mexico.
- Many streams and rivers in the West are approaching their peak runoffs; be careful if camping this holiday weekend near a creek and monitor local flood warnings.
