A slow moving system continues to produce locally heavy rain and flash flooding in the Lower Mississippi Valley. Strong gusty winds push across the Great Basin today, then move across the Central Rockies and western Northern High Plains Thursday. Severe storms could produce very large hail and damaging winds in the Northern Plains Thursday.

— Ventura County CA: Wind Advisory tonight through Thursday morning. Gusts to 50 mph. I-5 impacted.

— East-central CA, southern and eastern NV, western UT, southeast ID: High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories for through this evening. Gusts 55-60 mph. I-15, I-80, I-84 impacted.

— North-central MT: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Strong winds and large hail are the primary threats.

— Southwest through northeast WY, southeast MT: High Wind Watches Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. Gusts to 60 mph. I-25, I-80, I-90, I-94 impacted.

— Eastern MT, northeast WY, ND, SD, much of NE: Scattered severe thunderstorms are likely Thursday afternoon and evening. Wind and hail are the primary threats, but a couple of tornadoes are possible.

— Central and southern AR, northern MS: Flash Flood Watches and Warnings continue through Thursday. I-30, I-40 potentially impacted.
