Early-summer heat wave continues to impact portions of interior CA, and spreads across the west from WA, OR and ID to NV, UT and AZ. Heaviest rains the next two days over the mid-Mississippi River Valley and Ohio River Valley. Severe weather threat for portions of the mid-Atlantic States Thursday.

— Northern CA: Excessive Heat Warning through Thursday for northern and central Sacramento Valley. Highs 100-105 deg F. I-5 impacted.

— Central CA: Excessive Heat Warning through Wednesday for portions of the San Joaquin Valley. Highs 101-107 deg F. I-5 impacted.

— Interior valleys. and. deserts of southeast CA, southern NV, the CA/AZ border: Excessive Heat Warnings through Friday. Highs 104-112 deg F. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40 impacted.

— Southeast ID Valleys: Excessive Heat Warning today. Highs around 100 deg F. I-84 impacted.

— Valleys of southeast and southwest UT: Excessive Heat Warnings through Saturday. Highs around 105 deg F. I-15, St. George and Lake Powell regions impacted.

— Eastern VA, DC, most of MD, northern DE, southeast PA: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms Thursday. Locally damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat.

— Northeastern FL, coastal GA: Dense Fog Advisory through midmorning. I-95 impacted.
