Slight risk of severe storms across eastern NE and western IA. Slight risk of flash floods from Tidewater VA and along the southeast and northern Gulf Coast. Hot over the western High Plains, but some monsoon-showers for the desert Southwest.

— East-central NE, west-central IA: Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible, including the threat for large hail and damaging winds. I-29, I-80 potentially impacted.

— Southeast LA, coastal MS and coastal AL: Flash Flood Watches through this evening. I-10, I-12 potentially impacted.

— Northern GA: Flash Flood Watch through this afternoon. I-75 potentially impacted.

— Northwest FL including FL Panhandle: Flash Flood Watches through Thursday morning. I-10 potentially impacted.
