Heavy rainfall from Claudette may bring additional flash, urban and small stream flooding from GA into the Carolinas today. Scattered severe storms are expected across the Midwest into the lower Great Lakes/upper Ohio Valley. . Dangerous heat and critical fire weather conditions continue across much of the western U.S.

— Virtually all of southern and the interior valleys of CA; southern NV; eastern and southern AZ: Excessive Heat Warnings today. Many locations will reach 105 to 116 deg F. I-5, I-8, I-10, I-15, I-40, I-80 impacted.

— IA, northern and central MO, southern WI, northern and central IL, northern IN, southern MI, northern OH, extreme northwest PA: Scattered severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes are possible. I-35, I-70, I-80, I-90 potentially impacted.

Coastal NC: Tropical Storm Warning in effect for tonight and Monday. Heavy rains, winds gusting 40-45 mph and a 1-3 foot storm surge along the immediate coast and coastal inlets are all likely.

— Northeast coastal SC: Tropical Storm Watch in effect for tonight and Monday. Heavy rains and gusty winds associate with Claudette possible.

— Coastal GA and coastal SC: Slight risk of damaging winds and a couple of brief tornadoes associated with Claudette. I-95 potentially impacted.

— Northern GA, most of SC, coastal NC: Flash Flood Watches associated with Claudette through Monday morning. 1-2 inches additional rainfall is possible.

— Eastern OH, most of PA, most of upstate NY, northwestern New England: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon and evening.
