Low pressure over the Southern Rockies continues to create numerous showers and thunderstorms over the Rockies. Some of these storms will become severe over the Southern Plains. Heat builds into the Northern Plains and expands eastward to the Great Lakes States and Northeast later this week.


— Southern CA Interior deserts: Wind Advisories through tonight. Gusts 50-60 mph. I-8, I-10 impacted.

— Eastern CO, western KS, southwest NE, TX and OK Panhandles: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and large hail are the greatest threats. I-40, I-70 potentially impacted.

— Western OK, western TX: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms Monday late afternoon and evening. I-10, I-20, I-40 potentially impacted.

— Central and south-central OK, northeast TX: Flash Flood Watches through Wednesday morning. Repeated bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms. I-20, I-35, I-40, I-44, I-45 potentially impacted.

—North-central, central, south-central IA: Dense fog through mid-morning. I-35, I-80 impacted.
