Low pressure over the Great Basin is creating numerous showers and thunderstorms over the Rockies. These storms move into the High Plains where some will become severe. The low pressure will create conditions for strong winds over parts of southern CA and even some high elevation snows over the southern Sierra Nevada on Sunday.


— Southern CA Antelope Valley north of Los Angeles: Wind Advisory today and this evening. Gusts to 45 mph.

— Southern CA Interior deserts: Wind Advisories this afternoon through Sunday night. Gusts 50-60 mph. I-8, I-10 impacted.

— Eastern CO, southwest KS, OK Panhandle, eastern NM, western TX: Slight risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, Sunday, and Monday. Damaging wind gusts are large hail are the primary threats.

— Eastern KS: Slight risk of flash flooding this afternoon and evening from heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms.

— Southern TX: Slight risk of flash flooding this afternoon and evening from heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms

— Southern OK, north-central TX: Slight risk of flash flooding Sunday afternoon and evening from heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms
