Severe thunderstorms and flash flooding continue across the Southern Plains through Tuesday. An early-season heat wave impacts portions of interior CA starting today, then spreads to OR and NV Tuesday and Wednesday. Unseasonably cool today over much of New England.

— Interior Central and Northern CA: Excessive Heat Warnings through Tuesday. Highs upper 90’s to 108 deg F. Hottest day will be today. I-5 impacted.

— Interior deserts of southeast CA, southern NV, the CA/AZ border: Excessive Heat Watch Tuesday through Wednesday. Potential for dangerously hot temperatures. I-15 impacted.

— CO Rocky Mountains (higher elevations): Potential for an inch or two wet snow Monday night. I-70 potential minor impacts. No advisories expected.

— Southeast NM, southwest TX: A few strong to Severe Thunderstorms possible Monday afternoon and evening. I-10, I-20 potentially impacted.

— Southwest NE: Dense Fog Advisory through mid-morning today. I-80 impacted.

— Much of northern TX, central and eastern OK, southern MO and northern AR: Flash Flood Watches through Tuesday. I-20, I-35, I-40, I-44 impacted.

— Northwest IA: Dense Fog Advisory through mid-morning today.
